Can anyone tell me how to get the REPLACE text to have newlines in it? Don't worry about mentioning other tools that convert to /FREE more successfully, as I can only work with the tools I have.

Can you download a more regex-friendly editor? Notepad++ does not have
full support for the Posix regexp, but this worked:

find: ^(.....)C (\d\d) ITER\s*$
repl: \1C IF *IN\2 = *ON\n\1C
ITER\n\1C ENDIF\n

I copy/paste the section of text I want to work with. I also tend to
use Rexx macros in Code/400 for this sort of thing.
