The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I would first make sure that WDSC is at the most recent version, 7.0.0.8 I
think?
Then make sure that you have run a build on the project before deploying
it.
If the function keys are not responding then I will guess that you must
have a javascript error on the page that is preventing the keys from
becoming active.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] webfacing conversion - F-keys are inactive
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Recently I moved to a different PC and reinstalled WDSC and copied my
workspace as is. Since then, any DSPF which I convert in Webfacing
seems to convert with no errors, but when testing, all F-keys, including
the Enter key, are non-functional. Although the buttons appear selected
when I hover over them, they do nothing. Since not even the Enter key
works, I cannot get out of the display without cancelling the job. (The
programs/DSPF's work fine when run on the green screen.)
I am sure there is some file which is not getting picked up properly,
probably at DDS conversion time since DSPF's converted before I moved
still work fine. When we set this up a number of years ago with the
help of a consultant (it's a relatively small stand-alone app), I know
we modified several files including apparea.css and CmdKeys.jsp, but I
believe I still have the modified versions in place.
WDSC is at 7.0; OS is 5.4.
I posted a similar request recently regarding access to the DDS convert
option; that was answered by someone on the list with the tip of
re-migrating the Webfacing project. I hope there is an equally simple
solution to this issue.
Thank you very much.
