I wondered when I noticed that it was a jdbc connection parameter I wondered if it would work with RDp but have not got round to playing with it.
Of course the challenge with the RDp data components is working out how the $#&* they are supposed to work. The only docs I have found refer to older versions and things just don't seem to work the same way. I have also experienced problems with it failing on attempting updates etc. but have tended to get frustrated and go back to Navigator because the benefits of a single IDE solution did not outweigh the frustrations of trying to get it working.
