QuantumDB is the way to go if you want to stay inside the eclipse
development environment, but if you want an outside tool, I prefer Frog
over the Run SQL Script tool. http://www.innovativesys.net/?page_id=4

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] Tools similar to the green screen interactive SQL

I just started using IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software
8.0.0. Are there any tools similar to the green screen interactive SQL
(STRSQL) in RDP?

RDP has a Database Development perspective which allows access to DB2
for
IBM i. The SQL Query Builder tool within this perspective provides a
wizard
interface not dissimilar to prompting the SELECT statement in STRSQL.

Many folk also use the (free) QuantumDB plug-in. This is straightforward
and
easy to use. See http://quantum.sourceforge.net/

If you have the IBM i Access for Windows installed on your PC/laptop
you'll
also have a very effective Run SQL Script tool available within the
DATABASE
function.

Hope this provides a few pointers.

Brian.
