The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Putting a database analysis tool in the IDE isn't such a bad idea.
I wouldn't expect it necessarily to be part of the base IDE tooling, but to include that kind of functionality as a plug-in (especially when you have an IDE as plug-in oriented as Eclipse) is a fine idea.
