I just read an article in IBM Magazine (December 2011, IBM i version) that
said IBM was releasing EGL to the open source community. I was off list
during that period, but I didn’t see anything discussing it in the
archives.
It even said that IBM was proving free training.
Has anyone help anything else about this? I never got into EGL, when it
was
part of WDSc, and I’m not sure that our company would have a long term
interest, but I would sure be interested to learn more. I saw an entry in
the EGL blog at developerWorks dated back in August about this and
something
in the EGL Café site. Not much on detail, except that I noticed that one
still needs RDP (8.0, I think).
Anyone have any additional information or links regarding this
initiative/project?
Thanks.
