Hi Warren,

Please try Joe's suggestion to move to 8.0.0.1 of RDp first. If you still
encountered this problem, please generated Java stack dump (I posted in a
previous message, but will add the instruction here again), and open a PMR
for it. Thanks.

To generate the java stack dump:

In the product install directory there is an eclipse.exe and an
eclipse.ini.
Copy the eclipse.ini to another name in order to save the original version

Edit the eclipse.ini to change:
1. Add as the first line:
-consolelog
2. Change the -vm option to specify 'java.exe' instead of 'javaw.exe'
(Just removing the letter 'w'.) Keep the same path.
So your first few lines will be something like this: (Allowing for the
different product install path )
*************************************************
-consolelog
-vm
<RDp installation directory>\jdk\jre\bin\java.exe
-vmargs
*******************************

When you start RDp, you will see a dos prompt window attaches to it. When

you encounter the hang, hit Control C on the dos prompt. There should be
a java dump file generated.

Re: [WDSCI-L] RDP 8.0 Debug

I don't know why you didn't see it, Warren, but I responded to your
post. I am not seeing that behavior. Did you update to 8.0.0.1?

Joe

I did not see this get posted, so am trying again.

Several of us recently upgraded from 7.6 to 8.0. So, I have
experienced no major problems except one. Via 7.6 version, I could
add/remove breakpoints "on the fly" (as program is executing) with no
problem. However, via 8.0, when I try that, my RDP session totally
hangs. I end up having to go into my Window 7 Task Mgr, and ending it. If
I set up my breakpoints ahead of time, then no problem. Do we need to
wait for 8.1 for this new bug to get fixed?
