All true, although I tend to use the server version as workstation because most of the stuff for the workstation is there anyway and then I have the other services if I decide I need them. I do think IBM is rather tilted towards SLES though if you talk to the insiders. It might have a bit to do with the money tossed at Suse by IBM back in early years to keep them from going bankrupt.
