The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Actually the behavior you are seeing is the default and always has
been as far as I can recall. Someone must have changed the base
setting on yours.
There is no preference in the conventional sense - this is one of the
ones where it is a window menu setting.
In the error list window on the very far top right hand side is a
small white downward pointing triangle. This is the window menu and
exists in most windows. Click on that - there are two settings that
are relevant. "Show Severity" which controls whether info messages are
included. "Messages" which is the one you want as it allows you to
never insert the message, only insert the one for the current line, or
insert all. There's also a setting for "Automatically Remove" which
lets you decide when added error messages get removed.

I need to clarify a point (my bad). The messages are being embedded
whenever I double-click an error in the iSeries Error List View.
Previously, performing this action merely highlighted the offending
code in
the source editor window (and positioned the cursor). Doing this
action now
embeds all the error messages. Very annoying.
