Well after all the effort to get the key on line, I found out that disk
4 of our installation packet held the license key .JAR file we needed
(if only I had read the installation memo thoroughly and the vey small
print above the CD bar code).

I assumed since we had not yet purchased the licenses for RDi when I
installed the product that we would get access to one after we paid for
RDi and then input the license key from another source (like most PC
products do).

Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt,

In your POE you'll find a location number. You have to register that
location number in Passport Advantage. (
www.ibm.com/software/passportadvantage) Create an IBM ID if you don't
already have one.
Once the registration and eventually self-nomination process has
completed
you will be able to login to the Rational Key Center at
www-01.ibm.com/software/rational/support/licensing
From there you can follow the links to create a new license key and
import
that to RDI.

It can be a frustrating and a long way to go through. It took me three
weeks to get Passport Advantage correctly bound to my IBM ID.
Best regards,
Arco Simonse

We have finally purchased the license for RDi 7.5 but our systems
manager has been "busy" with stuff and has not gotten the license key
for my. All I have it a document for the proof of entitlement
document.

When ever I open RDi 7.5 it stops with the "Error: License Cannot Be
Found." error dialog. I go to Manage Licenses function in attempt to
fix the situation but i am a little lost. There are two links where I
can "purchase a license" (which goes no where) and a help document to
help "activate your full product license" (for which there is no
help).
I click the Apply License. I have not gotten the IM to find a license
key. Is there something else I am missing? The IM set up is
configured
to search the web for updates and I have a passport advantage log on.

Where do we get a license key from? IBM has not made this process
very
informative.

Thanks, Matt
