I haven't tried running WDSCi 6.0 on Windows 7, but I would be leery of it.
WDSCi 7.0 needed a patch to avoid certain problems on Vista and Win 7. I
don't know if 6.0 would have the same issues, but IBM never supported it on
Vista. Your best bet is to take the free upgrade to 7.0 while you still
can, as others have suggested. I can confirm that 7.0.0.8 Interim Fix 001
runs just as well on Win 7 as it does on XP, and after you use 7.0, you'll
never want to go back to 6.0.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] WDSC 6.0 and Windows 7

Some of us will be issued new PCs with Windows 7 in the near future.
We're currently using WDSC 6.0. If I take those disks and install WDSC
6.0 on a Windows 7 machine, will it run ok? I suppose we should have
migrated to some release of RDI instead by now, but heard that would
entail a licensing cost.
