This one confused me - you say if he doesn't ever plan to use the new 
stuff, then get the new IDE? I'd think you meant the other way around.

And I think that if he put on WDSC 7 now and could show visible 
productivity gains, he could have a better chance of getting RDP later.

But if they are NOT using 6.1 features, there's not a reason to go to 
RDP when he already has WDSC 7 - until IBM fully shuts things down - as 
with support in April this year!!
