We had a team from IBM give us a WebEx demo of RDi. The IBM team told us ADTS had been officially "stabilized" as of V6R1. They said IBM was not going to upgrade ADTS for future versions of the operating system (like they upgraded ADTS for V6).
Maybe they were misinformed, or maybe they were trying out some scare tactics. But that's what they told us.
Does anyone on the list with IBM connections know exactly what ADTS stabilization implies? Is IBM going to upgrade ADTS for V6R2 and beyond? If V6R2 or V7R0 breaks something in ADTS, will IBM fix it?

Um, ADTS, which includes PDM and SEU, remain supported, which means they
will get fixes for the foreseeable future. They just won't receive any
enhancements. It's the same status as the S36EE, S38EE, and several other
OS features.
Support is ending on WDSCi, so you're correct about it.

IBM has already rebranded and modified Rdi. They now call it RDP.
RDP is not free.
However, IBM is ending support for WDSCi very soon now. You can continue
using WDSCi until some future operating system upgrade breaks it. Once it
breaks, you have to live with the loss of functionality or switch to RDP.
The same goes for PDM and SEU. These tools have been "stabilized," which
means no more fixes or upgrades. You can continue to use them until a
future operating system upgrade breaks them. Once they break, you just
have to live with the loss of functionality or switch to RDP.
