When you upgrade to V6R1, depending on your processor tier, you receive an 'entitlement' to a certain number of seats to ADTS at 'no charge'. We have a big P40 box, so we got 80 seats; someone can probably point at the chart for the tiers. Going forward, you'll have to pay maintenance every year on each ADTS seat you keep.

I believe that the per seat purchase price for ADTS and RDi is the same, $795 list. There is also an upgrade price to 'trade in' ADTS seats for RDi seats, which is in the $400 price range (about 50%). Maintenance on RDi is the same as ADTS, so if you do the trade in, your maintenance doesn't go up. Again, someone can probably point at the announcement for that.

I'm a little confused. Are you saying that, for 30 ADTS developers to
switch, it could be:

30 x 795 = 23,850 for the first year
30 x 160 = 4,800 for subsequent years

Or are you saying it would be:

1 x 795 = 795 initial license
30 x 160 = 4,800 per seat
5595 = total

Should we expect to pay $23,850 to switch or $5595 to switch 30
developers to RDi?
