The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

I agree 100%. Change management is a much bigger thing than just source code management. But we all have to live within a budget and while I would love to have a full Change Management system I can only afford source code management. And using a Change Management system built with an I environment in mind would be better than a one built around a different environment and ported.

Object's need to be managed, programs recreated & recompiled, logical & physical files need to be rebuilt in the correct order, etc.
This is where an i specific SCM product really helps.
