Because the STRDBG command looks in the library list to find the object to be debugged ... SRTSRVJOB just establishes the connection between the debugging job and the debugged job.

When you use the WDSC debugger, you're not using the STRDBG command ... there's a set of debug API's that are used (I'm assuming).
