Folks,

The suggestion several of you made to add "date format=iso" to the
connection string did indeed solve the problem. Thanks so much.

And, yes, "1000-01-01" is a valid ISO format date. BTW, I had forgotten that
we also had other date columns where some had the value of "9999-12-31".
Before adding "date format=iso" Quantum didn't like that either.
