Jazz is more geared towards quality and project management than software
production. It doesn't replace the Rational developer tools. It
complements them with collaboration, issue tracking, source code
management, and more. The Rational product for this is IBM Rational
Team Concert.

There will be an i version, and the page for the "future beta" says it
will be going beta later this summer. Interestingly, the page says
the beta will require RDi 7.5, which may be a clue to the 7.5 release
timeframe or just a coincidence.

Hi,
What is all this noise about Jazz then. I thought that I read something
about Rational moving everything to Jazz?

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Eclipse 3.4 Released

Hi,
It appears that Rational is getting further and further behind in
their
releases...

Some of us are building RCP products on the Eclipse base and Rational
is

stuck on 3.2. If this was the OS/400 operating system IBM would soon
be

dropping support for this release...
