Thanks Joe.
We use SQL a lot. So the DB perspective is needed for us.
I was able to install Eclipse's DB perspective. But it would be nice if it
came with the product.

How do I contact the Rational Folks?

I don't find data development perspective. Am I missing something here?

No, you're not missing anything. We brought that up with the Rational
folks in Raleigh and they seemed to think it was a good idea to include
it, but evidently when they first put together the list of tools for
RDi, they didn't think it made sense.

The idea behind RDi is that it is strictly a replacement for PDM and
SEU, nothing else. Technically, it's not even designed for Java
development although since Java is a part of base Eclipse it's rather
hard to remove it. But the Data perspective definitely got trimmed from
the RDi configuration.

If you think it's essential to your work (and you don't like, for
example, the Quantum DB plugin) then I suggest you let the Rational
folks know.

Joe
