i haven't tried RDi-SOA yet....but from what i've experienced with RDi i'm
not sure i want to. RDi is slower than WDSCi v7 in a *lot* of ways. it's
also bad about disconnecting from my system, WDSCi never has done that to
me either. i still can't get past the fact that the screen designer is
*still* a technology preview!

Thanks,
Tommy Holden

I'm tired of listening to everyone say how good (TECHNOLOGY X) is. Time

to prove it. It's easy to sit on a mailing list and pontificate. It's

a lot harder to really do something.

But we've done it, so now it's time for others to match it.

Can we have an RPG vs Synon throwdown here on this list too?

If somebody were actually trying to decide between the two, that would
be appropriate (although perhaps more appropriate on the RPG list). But
I had my integrity questioned a couple of weeks ago by a couple of
prominent and vocal list members. I've backed up my statements. Now
I'm waiting to see if anybody can back up theirs.

An apology is unlikely; that would be too civil a thing to hope for.
But if nobody steps up to the challenge especially among the alternate
technology advocates, then I am going to proclaim that EGL in
conjunction with RPG is the best web application development language
for the System i.

Seems fair to me. Basically, put up or shut up. We done put up.
