Hi,
I have installed it stand-alone and was able to install it in the same package group as RAD7.0.

It just seems that the there are more Perspectives available in WDSC than RDi stand alone. I am not really interested in RBD.

This looked to me like an inexpensive way to keep the functionality of WDSC and get the newest version of RDi.

Hi,
Has anyone tried to install RDi in the WDSC package group replacing all the RDi stuff in WDSC. It appears to me from the documentation that it should run as they both are using the same version of Eclipse. I have no idea if it will replace RSE (et alia) or you will wind up with two of them...

Sorry, but this won't work.

WDSC is at version 7 of the Rational tooling, while RDi is at version 7.1. The two won't co-exist in the same package group. But really, there's not much point - a great part of RDi is already in WDSC. The only major functional enhancements are the screen designer and the application diagrammer, and the screen designer in particular is a preview.

So I'd just install it in a separate package. You can, though, get RBD 7.1 (even the trial) and install it ni the same package group as RDi. This gives you RDi-SOA functionality, and lets you play with EGL. I highly recommend this.
