Many thanks for this - I recompiled with DBGVIEW(*ALL) and was able to get an outline view in the debug perspective.

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] Debug - outline not available problem in debug

Hi,
Whenever I use debug in WDSc I always get the message 'An outline is not available' in the outline view in the debug perspective. This is for all RPG IV programs that I have tried. I have checked Window -> Preferences -> Run/Debug -> Compiled Debug and the box 'Always use Debugger Editor while debugging' is not checked. Can anyone suggest what is wrong?
Do you compile with either DBGVIEW(*ALL) or DBGVIEW(*SOURCE)? I don't
think an outline view is available unless you are using the *SOURCE view.
