The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Go to Window -> Preferences -> Remote Systems -> Remote Systems LPEX
Editor -> iSeries Parsers -> ILE RPG (or RPG/400 if that's what you're
working in) - Note: these are for version 7.0, if I remember right,
version 6 was a shorter path.
Click User defined tabs. Set the tab stops to what ever you want based
on the Spec type. As an experiment, in ILE RPG, I cleared all the tabs
then set a single tab stop on an H spec on the start of comments as a
test. Viola! tab,tab gets me to the next line just like SEU. I only
tested the H spec, but I think the rest of the specs would work the
same. You have to go through and set them all, but only once.
I congratulate Bob on retraining his fingers in a few days, took me a
good month before I got used to it. I highly suggest you retrain your
fingers to the LPEX tabs, once you get used to it, using tab in SEU
seems, well, clunky. And the LPEX method works way better with
indenting in free form.

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] Shift BackTag
I think this is one of the things you just have to get used to. Tabs
work differently in the LPEX editor. Although trying what you said in
SEU, I get to the first position in 1 SHIFT/BACKTAB, 2 places in the
first position of the previous line. If I need to be in the line number
section I just click on the that line in the lien number area. And part
of the line number will position the cursor in the place. It took me a
few days to get used the tab not going to a new line right away, but now
I have problems in SEU when it goes to a new line and not the next
location on that line.
