I had our IBM business partner check into this and this was the response I got back after a webcast they had with IBM recently....

"WDS will be split into three features - the ILE compilers, the 'heritage compilers' which include S/36 & S/38, etc., and ADTS. WDSc is getting split into RDi, RDi SOA. Charts on the conference call confirm entitlements for 12 licenses for the WDS features I listed above when upgrading to V6R1. The entitlement listed for WDSc is just WDSc 7.0 (which is the current version). RDi & RDi SOA are listed as new and chargeable. The version is 7.1 RDi is listed at $795 per user. It's also a separate software maintenance. First year is free; $318 will extend it to three years. I have yet to find pricing on RDi SOA. It's processed differently than the rest of the software. It was not listed on the webcast this morning and I don't see any pricing yet on the internal IBM website. When I get pricing, I'll let you know. Availability is 03.21.2008, just like V6R1."

Just one source....

i agree....why should we have to pay for updated/replacement tool that
is free?

Thanks,
Tommy Holden

Maybe something has changed that I missed, but I thought that shops with
a current SWMA would get a certain number of seats for free, based on
their tier?
