Excellent point Tom! I do very little admin stuff with PDM, so I wouldn't
even know how others are using it in that vein.
Note also that iNav will be running in the browser as of V6R1. We will have
to see how fast it runs with the integrated "native" app server. From
everything I have heard, IBM has made some crazy significant performance
improvements with Java. Couple that with a Power6 processor later this year
and it will hopefully run quite well.
I am a little unclear as to what is required to get the web iNav up and
running (i.e. does it start after an IPL?). The other part of me thinks
this out loud: "Kinda cool that you can admin a server from the browser.
What other OS can you do that with?! What types of security concerns does
this introduce? Will they NOT have it be HTTPS out of the gates like
*ADMIN/DCM?!"

Note that PDM is useful for so much more than just "program
development" and PDM is bundled into ADTS. Granted, PDM can be
somewhat replaced with WDSC, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to
use WDSC for more basic management kinds of things.
OTOH, if iNav was a bit more responsive and could more easily accept
'user options', then even PDM would lose some usefulness.
Perhaps there's some validity in viewpoints other than as
'developers/programmers' for some tools.
