The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

The meeting was in the Toronto Lab Joe with a very large number of
IBM'ers present including Wendy Toh - so I don't think "time to
alert" has anything to do with it. Much more likely that it was (and
still is) in a state of flux. One could also postulate that the
reaction of the users at the meeting might have impacted things - and
they didn't even know then that as Canadians they were going to be
ripped off big time by having a way higher (16% or so) price than the
US one.
All of these things are always in flux - for IBM to make changes has
a similar timeframe to an elephants gestation period! That's why the
only thing we can do right now is hope. Even once they make their
minds up as to what they (Rational) want to do, it still has to go
through the whole IBM approval process, so what any one of them may
say in private to any of us is neither here nor there right now. The
hope may defuse a few tempers but ...
