Any reason you're using such an old version of Tomcat? There may be limited
debugging hooks in that version.
On a related question, why debug with Tomcat at all? I prefer to use the
embedded WebSphere and then once I get it working, just export the
application to Tomcat. As long as I don't use any WebSphere-specific
coding, I've never had a problem deploying an application on Tomcat.
(I realize this is a two-step process, but it's been so easy for me that
I've never HAD to debug Tomcat, thus my lack of concrete help <grin>.)
