The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) that it has been adopted, extended, and used as a CM tool for many projects in the Unix/Windows world.
I can't say that SVN has _never_ been used (abused?) as a change
management tool, but I can't imagine that it is common practice to do
so. As Charles mentioned, Unix/Windows people normally use a
combination of tools (make/ant + SVN/CVS + unit testing tool) to provide
CM functionality.
You mentioned earlier that you didn't think that 'make' was available
for i5/OS. Alan Campin has a make-like tool called COMPILE. I'm not a
user but I hope to be eventually.
In the end, we may end up shelling out $7,000 to get a CM tool... we'll see.
I'd suggest researching make, ant and COMPILE before taking the plunge.
They may well do enough for your needs.
