I would have realized that if I had checked the box.

What about the setting that says to exit when the last window is closed? If you use File -> Close All (Ctrl-Shift-W) instead of File -> Exit, will that work?

It was one of the first things I tried. Using the preference,
source members are closed only when I reach a set number of
open members, and not when I close WDSC or the workspace.

I wasn't paying attention in this thread, so this may already
have been tested. In preferences, General -> Editors, Close
editors automatically. Does that do it? I don't want to
test it because I have too many open and don't want them closed!
