AFAIK, SWT is not supported on WinXP 64. Part of this is Windows, part is
Eclipse. See, Windows 64 should run 32-bit applications just fine, but
evidently the 32-bit APIs don't work on the 64-bit OS quite properly (gee,
go figure), and the Eclipse team hasn't bothered to rewrite SWT for the
64-bit APIs.

While there has been a bug entered for this and there is mention in the 3.4
project plan about Win64, I don't see any evidence that it's being worked
on. And if it's not in the 3.4 release, then don't expect it in WDSC for a
year or so.

Basically, Win64 is evil. But that's not just the Java talking -- lots of
device drivers and so on don't work either.

I managed to get Installation Manager to install, but when I try to add
packages I get the 'No more handles' error.

I saw in the archives a mention by Joe Pluta that he was running on a 64
bit, but I think that may have been version 6.

Any news?
