The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
As long as you are not compiling in batch (uncheck the "Remote
Systems->iSeries->Command Execution->Compile in batch" preference) then
those messages should appear in the "iSeries Commands Log" view. You may
need to scroll down.
I have a similar problem when an object fails to compile because I do
not have the authority to replace the object. If I check the view I can
see the error at the end.
Best regards,
Paul

I did what you said and I was able to get the job status to come up and
if
I right clicked on it, I was allowed to get to the spool file. The
spoolfile was the same as before even with the *FULL parmeter and it
didn't show why it was not created. I also had the option to see the
job
log by right clicking. It told me the job log did not exist be the job
had ended.
When I did the command
CRTPGM PGM(ULRMODS/TKINQ01) MODULE(CNV_MBNO CNV_HBNO TKINQ01)
interactively in PDM. I got the message that the job did not create the
program. When I F1 on the message and press F10 it showed me this on
the
screen.
No modules found for the specified value of CNV_MBNO in library *LIBL
No modules found for the specified value of CNV_HBNO in library *LIBL
Program TKINQ01 not created.
How do I see the"No modules found messages" in RSE??

Oops! Sorry about that. I got interrupted when I was typing the
message
and missed that part of the instructions before sending it.
To check the option, click Window, Preferences, Remote Systems, iSeries,
and Command Execution. You'll find the option in the second group on
the
right. The other option would be to do as Dave Shaw suggests and not
compile in batch. I don't recall if the specific modules it can't find
are
listed in the 'iSeries Commands Log' or not. Like so many things with
the
workbench, use the method that works for you.
