Hi Violaine,
That is a very nice function that I was not aware was added.
Is there any way to position to a specific name?
I have a file with a large number of fields that start with the same characters
and it would be nice to bring up the definition of the field I was looking for.

BTW - Where can I find a list of enhancements in V7?

Thanks,

Try right-clicking on the line with the F-spec and select the Show fields
menu option.

Thanks for the tip!

That certainly provides the information. Yes, fields are shown in tables

for logical files.

My problem is that the data file has to be exposed in the RSE tree view
before you can open it with Table View. This can be a fair amount of
drilling and take some time. The library containing the files has 7452
objects (writing this while waiting for expansion) Then I have to get
the
cursor on the right object -- typing the first letter should be helpful
but most of the objects are named CK something or another.

I am working on objects in my own library, after having checked things
out
of that big one.

What I'd like is to right click something in the outline view and see the

details.
