Not sure what a "0", "2" or "3" is. Have you looked at the log file? It
is available on the properties window.

OK. I added a new server. I deleted all the old ones... A "2" and "3"

I now have a "0" again - and still no happiness... :-(

The only thing I did with the daemon was to highlight Server Settings
and add a new server. Just enter your iSeries system name in both IP
Name or Address and CODE/400 Server Name boxes and supply your iSeries

login info.

When I look at the CODE Server List I just see my iSeries server
connection I made. I assume R0TYLIST and R1TYLIST are connections. You

could delete those connections and create a new one or be sure your
new connection is at the top of the list.

I am administrator.

I started the Communications Console. I see the icon.

I open properties, and on the CODE Server List I have R0TYLIST and
R1TYLIST. I don't know what these are. It also allows me to ADD a
server
- but again, I'm not sure what it's asking...

As I recall, under V6, there was nothing extra to do - it just
automagicly happened.

Thank you for your patience...

Dave,

Things to check:

Are you at least a power user on the PC?

Can you start the Communication Console, under Communications in the

CODE and VARPG menu? (There are other ways to get to it, too, but
this is
easiest.) If you can, does it start the Daemon (it should do it
automatically)? If not, can you start the Daemon from the menu
option

for it? It's right under the Console.

I'll try to think of more possibilities while you check these.

Don't have the products on a shared drive, so just used the CD.

1. The CD auto loaded and installed 2. I took the defaults 3. I
started Code 4. I entered the command on the command line 5.
Here's where the trouble starts... I don't see the CODE "daemon"
in the system tray... But I remember it being there before.
6. I don't have "TurnOver"...

I can load CODE and Designer from All Programs, but that doesn't
link
it
to the source in WDSCi...
