Rick,
Yea I have tried SEP but not on our iSeries and it is wonderful. Unfortunately
we are still stuck on v5r1 for a few months longer which doesnt support that
feature. I will wait until then since it is the most logical method of
debugging these procedures.
Thanks everyone by the way I will try Quantum DB out for all the reasons you
listed.

Don,
I have also found the data perspective cumbersome compared to Quantum. Again,
it's a matter of personal preference.
On debugging stored RPG stored procedures, have you tried using a service entry
point (SEP) for your debugging? I haven't tried a stored procedure yet but is
will fire up the WDSC debugger for interactive calls, batch calls, and CGI
calls from web pages. Basically, any time the RPG object is called the WDSC
debugger gets started. If you haven't yet, give it a try. Right click on the
source or object and select Set Service Entry Point.
HTH,
Rick

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Data Perspective vs Quantum DB
Hey All,
I have just started delving into using the data perpsective of WDSCi 6.0 and
had a couple of questions.
1. When running stored procedures how can I find out what QZDASOINIT job its
using. If I want to debug the RPGIV stored procedure its calling I would need
this normally.
2. What advantages are there in loading Quantum DB plugin over the existing
Data Perspective.
Thanks for any pointers
