Glad to hear you've got it working. Here's another thought.

Under Window-Preferences-Remote Systems-iSeries-Command Execution (same
place as you unchecked 'Compile in batch'), you can set the job
description to be used. What's the job description and how is it set up?
i.e., Does it submit to a job queue which never gets released to compile
your programs or something like that?

You could also try seeing if you have any batch jobs hanging around by
going to a command line (green-screen, that is) and typing WRKUSRJOB. WDSc
compile jobs use the default job name on the SBMJOB which is the job
description name. So you might see jobs named QPGMR or QDFTJOBD or
something like that.

Thanks Mike. I un-checked the 'Compile in Batch' option in the command
execution preferences and tried to compile. And it worked. Hurray!!!...
Interactive compile works but batch doesn't. Don't know why. Anyhow I'm
just happy atleast I can compile my programs by some means :-).
