yes this is correct. If you click that "check new version" button and
decide to install V7001, then you just
need the first 2 CDs (the rest of the stuff will be coming from the udpate
site).

Acutally I only used the first 2. Maybe someone could clarify for us.
This is what happened in my case.

I installed the updater.
The updater updated itself.
Then the updater got most of 7.001 from the Internet.

I only ended up using disk 1 and 2.

If you just want to do a default installation (which is enough in most
cases), you only need to download the first 5 CD images.

[WDSCI-L] Version 7 Download






My company is looking to download Version 7 for WDSc, but I have been told


that the only version available requires 37 CD's.
This is way too much to download, and then have to burn the CD's.
Does anyone know if either a DVD version is available or maybe a server
install?
