Try the control panel > Java > General (top tab) About. See what version
it thinks is running.

Then try the Java (top tab) to see what JVMs are installed.

Your support staff may have unistalled the SDK (development kit) but left
the JRE (runtime environment).

MIS updated my computer with the latest Java 1.6 and since then when WDSC
starts up in RSE I get 'Operation failed with exception 'Failed to execute

runnable (java.lang.StackOverflowError)' and WDSC hangs. I brought updates

up to date through Rational updater, still get error. I uninstalled Java
1.6
now at 1.5 and still getting same error and behavior.
