I've taken the stance that using V7

The official response is about what I expected. The lawyers aren't
going to let the Lab say anything substantive. The marketing types
probably haven't run all the numbers yet, so the future is not set. For
me, the point of this wasn't to twist IBMs arm into making a change
_now_ -- it was to register my complaint and help change course for the
future.
I understand the urge to vote with my feet and show IBM that I'm not
happy, and I probably would, if IBM had a hint that I was doing it. But
they don't. I say 'would' but I can't get my copy of V7. I won't drag
it out here, but the entitlements page says I'm not entitled to download
it, and my boss is wicked busy and hasn't called the BP to get the CDs.
Anyway, I understand, but I guess my expectations were quite different.
