wdsc7 and local partitions

Thanks Eric and Kirk,
The partition D is not deeply nested neither use long names.
Kirk, did you install wdsc 7 or 6 ?
it might be because of the way the disk has been partitioned. I got C and D.
Can the IBMers confirm that installation manager should work with two partitions I got the feeling it does not as the error message comes straight away. Error 1324 the path items to CD contains an invalid character.

I got the wdsc7 complaint number 7796 by the way. A lady said Ibm will send a formal response soon.
