Hi Michael,

Charles is right, compiling in WDSC should behave the same as from an
emulator, provided you have the same library list, environment variables,
overrides, and compile options setup the same.
I would point out that compiling from WDSC usually adds OPTION(*EVENTF)
(which is what populates the outline view).
Try copy/pasting the command from the iSeries commands log view to your
emulator and see if that provides the same result.

thanks,

Assuming you mean you actually get a compiler error from WDSCi and
not just a syntax or verify error.
Then the only thing I could think of off the top of my head:

Your CRTCLPGM command has had the defaults changed which is
affecting the green screen but not WDSCi.

Charles

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Compiling CL on V7

I have an old CL program that I have to modify. The CL has
parms passed into it. 1 of the parms has an initial value
assigned on the Declare(don't ask me why)

I tried compiling within WDSC and received an error
message(CPD0702- Initial value not allowed for variable
passed into program) This makes sense, I have no problem
with it, other than the fact that the program compiled previously.

So I decided to compile green screen. It compiles with no errors.

How could this happen? Anybody seen anything like this?
