Hi, (attitude statement)We are one of those that IBM left swinging in the wind when they withdrew ADM so we am looking for i5 source control and build alternatives.
The way I read all the sales info about WDSCI it appears that you can use Rational ClearCase for OS/400 source control. This seems to mean that we can keep all our source WIN, WEB/RCP/JAVA and OS/400 under the same product and get rid of ADM (source control) & CVS.
I have installed a host version of ClearCase 7.0 Multi? on one of our Windows servers and installed the client version on my WDSC 7.0 desktop.
I have been unable to find any documentation about how to configure/use ClearCase for the iSeries and get all my i5 source and associated objects into ClearCase. I have found plenty of documentation about how to control my WEB/RCP/JAVA projects.
Has anyone got any ideas of what I should do next to continue testing the i5/ClearCase connection? It would be great to hear from someone who has been down this road...
