From: Buck I needed to convert some RPG III programs to RPG IV today so I could use the outline view to see what the heck is going on in there. As I was starting PDM I figured this would be as good a time as any to try to create an RSE user action. It was pretty easy and very painless; it's a pretty fair approximation to doing it in PDM via a user-defined option.
Three things I like about WDSC user actions as opposed to PDM: 1. Longer names. Heaven help me, I've had to come up with some very creative two-letter combinations in my time. 2. You can identify which source types are valid. This is very nice; it keeps you from running a command where it oughtn't to be run. 3. The options are automatically added to the context-sensitive menu. This is really, really nice. The thing I DON'T like is the inability to import them -- either from my existing PDM options on the host or from another user. Joe
