A WDSC7AE install requires about 6GB all by itself once you factor in the>temporary space. It would be nice if you could point the temporary space to>an additional drive, but there's no way to do that that I can see.
No, I don't know a way that makes that possible. But if you use a non-preallocated disk file, you can shrink it when your install is complete and temp files in the VM are deleted. Shrinking will reclaim unused space. What the shrinking proces actually does, is create a new virtual disk file and copy the content of the old virtual disk file to the new, but without the unused space. Best regards, Arco Simonse
