You will also note that the compile menu also doesn't appear for iSeries
projects.
There are technical reasons why this is the case, however, it is on our
list of requirements to enable compile from within Remote Systems LPEX
Editor for iSeries project members.

Then why does WDSC let me select a compile command from the project 
perspective via the context menu Remote Actions->Select a compile command? 
What does it do with what is selected? (other than place a checkmark beside 
it in the list of options)
