Well I don't know how close to a horses mouth I have :-) but there should
be no issues with having both WDSC v6 and v7 both installed.
In fact, I have both installed on my machine right now.

Yes.  Obviously they need to be installed in separate
directories, but they should be able to co-exist without a
problem.
