JoeAs a partner, if you have bought the software access option, you can download AE - it is at version 6 in that catalog at the moment, but it will likely get 7 fairly soon - that was the case with 6.
But it looks like the purchase is a per-seat matter - or connected to upgrades as someone else said - but all this is very murky, as that price information is for those who did not get 5722-WDS - of course, it is pathetic to pay 4600 (list for AE, 1500 list for Std) for a product when you can get the entire MS subscription for much less - all OS all IDE etc.
The how to buy for WDS has stuff about getting unlimited licenses to WDSC - of course, that page only speaks of version 5.1.2 - sheesh as they say in chat rooms. Nothing there about AE at all.
If I had time I would call Techline and see what is up. I don't have the time, so I download from the partner catalog and am happy with 6.

Jon, just so I'm not completely off-base here... the $3500 for the upgrade from standard to advanced is a processor-based cost, like standard, not a seat-based cost, correct? That is, I have to buy WDSC AE just once, not a copy for each developer. I mean that would make more sense given the pricing for the standard edition, but sense isn't exactly abundant in this situation.
