Re: Advanced vs. Standard

I would think more might use WDSCI if there was a different method of training than what is generally available. A tiny percentage of shops can allocate days or weeks of reduced productivity as developers work towards proficiency. I can't afford that loss. There are books and lots of "demo" presentations in many forums. Big corporations can fund an in-house trainer for a couple all day intensive 'hands on' training sessions. Two or three 8 hour days might be enough to then not experience 
weeks of reduced productivity. Common and others should consider 2-3 day
intensive training sessions to get many RPG'ers into WDSCI. Take it on the road to 10-15 cities (not 2). I'm done paying money for brochure and demo type education 
with slide presentations. I want school.
Also need a product working at the same reliability as PDM.
Not having the screen designer in the base product is also a non-starter.

Aside from the dozen or so active posters to this list, WDSCi is
essentially unknown to RPG programmers.  Unless there's a secret

I have to disagree. I believe there are plenty of members on this

forum.


David would have a count. A lot of them, myself included, do not
actively post but do read most posts. For our small shop of 4 WDSc
programmers, 2 belong to the forum. Our shop is informed by us two. So
any programmers of a shop that is informed, using WDSc or not, would

be

able to speak up at COMMON.
