This isn't exactly the kind of answer you're looking for, but...

I doubt that there will be REXX macros in the LPEX editor (just my opinion).
However, as you probably already know, REXX also runs natively on the
iSeries.  You won't be able to run those macros as-is, but you might be able
to approximate the functionality.

Once upon a time I had a command that created a source member with
file/field I or D specs which I used to copy/paste (or use F15 in SEU) into
source.  A command could be modified to transfer the source to the IFS which
would make importing into a source member a bit easier.

I know...reinventing the wheel...just a thought though.
