Several people have asked in the IBM developerworks forums how to call a stored procedure and bind the result set to some component, usually a data grid. No one has ever answered.

Is this not possible to do? I found a page in the "Developing data access applications" section of the Rational Application Developer site (http://tinyurl.com/22nccl) called "Creating a Java Bean that calls a stored procedure" that shows how to create the bean that uses the DBProcedureCall class, but I can't figure out how to use the resulting bean for anything. Nothing from it shows up in the Page Data or Client Data views for my jsp file.

The "Creating data access Web applications using JavaServer Faces" section of the same site has a subsection, "Working with data in Faces applications", which in turn has a page (http://tinyurl.com/22nccl) called "Adding a Java Bean to a Faces JSP file", which explains how to create a data access bean. I can base this bean on the stored procedure bean I created earlier, but I *still* can't find anything - a result set - to bind to a component like a data grid.
