Hi Violaine,

These details help me a lot and I will now be able to open a ticket to try
to get this rectified.

Tks,

Glenn

Hi Glenn,

EVFCTCPD is the CODE Communication Daemon. Without it, CODE will not be
able to commincate with the iSeries.
You will also need to allow several other EVF* and CODE* executables - I
can think of the following:
evflgen.exe - CODE Program Generator
evfwlx40.exe - CODE Editor
codesrv2.exe = CODESRV command
codeprj2.exe = CODE Project Organizer
codedsu2.exe = CODE Designer

Hope that helps!

Hi there,

I am at a customer site that controls their firewall very tight. After
doing the install, I'm not sure if it started after the WDSc install,
the
CODE/VisualAge RPG install, or the HATS install, I'm getting two
programs
blocked by the Firewall. I can't unblock them because it's controlled
by
the domain server in another country.

Java Launcher
evfctcpd

Do I need to request these two program to be unblocked?
If so, I need to know what these two are doing.

Thank you.
